Truckers vow to boycott NYC after Trump verdict

Truckers are planning to boycott New York City following Friday’s verdict against President Donald Trump in a fraud case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Judge Arthur Engoron Friday barred Trump from doing business in New York for three years, fined him over $355 million in damages, and fined his two sons Eric and Donald Jr. $4 million each. 

The ruling is being seen as political given that no one was defrauded and there was no victim in the case. Trump was accused of inflating the worth of his Mar-a-Lago property to secure loans, all of which he repaid. 

Political pundits also note that AG James campaigned on a promise to oust Trump. Judge Engoron, a lifelong Democrat donor who referred to Trump as “just a bad guy,” posed smiling for the cameras during the trial.

Following the verdict, truckers took to social media to organize a boycott of New York City. Chicago1Ray, an X user who describes himself as a “big rig driver,” said he spoke to ten other truckers who will be refusing loads to the Big Apple beginning Monday.

“I don’t know how far across the country this is – or how many truckers are going start denying loads to NYC – but I’ll tell you – you f**k around and find out,” said Chicago1Ray in a video viewed over five million times before he deleted it. He has since added more videos reaffirming the boycott.

“We’re tired of motherf**king leftist f**king with Trump,” he continued. “Okay . . .  Motherfu**ers start to get tired of this shit. Our bosses aren’t going to care if we deny loads. We’ll go somewhere else.”

Chicago1Ray received support across social media, with many users urging truck drivers to also refuse loads to other “regime-controlled cities.”

“God bless our truckers,” wrote another user. “The people need to show their power. Enough. Bud Light for NY it is.”

A GoFundMe campaign set up by Trump supporters following the verdict has so far raised nearly $205,000 for the president’s legal fees.

“In standing with Trump, we’re upholding the cause of every business owner and entrepreneur who believes in the fight against a system that increasingly seeks to penalize dissent and curb our freedoms,” reads the campaign, started by a Florida woman named Elena Cardone.

“The fact that a business owner did a loan with a bank, never defaulted, nor missed a payment, pays back the loan with interest and caused no financial damage to anyone, yet, the government overreaches and slaps a business owner with a $355M ruling should terrify all business owners and entrepreneurs.”

Cardone added that the campaign “is more than a legal fund; it’s a call to all businesses owners and entrepreneurs to rally in defense of all businesses and for man who has never hesitated to stand in defense of us.”
