New ‘Rainbow Bus’ markets gender confusion to kids

A renovated school bus is traveling through the American South distributing thousands of books promoting gender confusion to kids.

The “Rainbow Book Bus” is an initiative backed by drag performers, “LGBT advocates,” and city officials who claim that books on gender ideology are being banned. Such claims are in reaction to a growing movement of concerned parents and lawmakers that has been trying to ban child pornography in schools and other gender confusion-themed materials.

Books such as “Lawn Boy,” “Gender Queer,” “Flamer,” “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” contain sexually explicit material and are aimed at children. Because they are deemed “LGBTQ” and “inclusive” they can be found in several public school libraries across the US. Some books depict interpersonal relationships of a sexual nature between adults and children. “Lawn Boy,” for instance, portrays a fourth-grader engaging in oral sex with an older male.

In response to efforts by parents to have these books removed, the Rainbow Book Bus last week kicked off a seven-city tour to distribute such gender confusion-themed books to families and children. Some of these books include “Grandad’s Pride,” a book about a child and his grandfather at a “Pride” parade, and “The Ethical Slut,” a guide on how to avoid monogamy.

The bus, which has been reformatted into a miniature library, has scheduled stops in Phoenix, AZ; Tulsa, OK; Memphis, TN; Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; Tallahassee, FL; and San Antonio, TX, with additional cities to be announced. 

“We aim to support and amplify organizations that oppose censorship, promote literacy or empower historically underrepresented storytellers. We work towards educational freedom by fighting existing censorship and reacting to future attacks aimed to reduce access to inclusive stories for young people,” says the Rainbow Book Bus on its website.

The bus is part of a larger initiative by drag performer RuPaul to disseminate gender ideology. RuPaul, whose Netflix show on drag performers is entering its sixteenth season, recently launched an online book store called Allstora to supposedly fight the censorship of books. 

But although RuPaul claimed on his website that “the censorship of any book, perspective, or story is incompatible with the survival of Democracy” and has promised to carry “all books,” Allstora has already banned several books by conservative authors such as “Johnny the Walrus” by Matt Walsh.

Visitors to Allstora can find books for children categorized by Sexual Orientation, Gender Identities, Racial Identities, and Other Identities. 

The Rainbow Book Bus is described as Allstora’s “philanthropic initiative.” On Saturday, the bus boasted in  an Instagram post that it has already given away 1,500 “banned books.”
