Political players in Washington, DC are orchestrating a coup to wrest control of the US military from President Donald Trump should he become commander-in-chief in January 2025, says a new report.

NBC revealed Sunday that “a loose-knit network of public interest groups and lawmakers is quietly devising plans to try to foil any efforts to expand presidential power, which could include pressuring the military to cater to his political needs.”

Although the United States is a constitutional republic, these groups and lawmakers are citing “democracy” as the reason they plan to block Trump from using his presidential power to implement his political goals. Trump’s agenda of withdrawing the US from globalist bodies such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and NATO is facing serious resistance from groups like Democracy Forward and Protect Democracy.

“We are preparing for litigation and preparing to use every tool in the toolbox that our democracy provides to provide the American people an ability to fight back,” said Democracy Forward President Skye Perryman. “We believe this is an existential moment for American democracy and it’s incumbent on everybody to do their part.”

Operatives like Perryman are working with Trump’s political rivals on Capitol Hill to sandbag the president’s agenda. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), for instance, is trying to pass a bill which could block a withdrawal from NATO.

The NBC report also hints that the military is being primed to refuse “illegal orders” from Trump.

“The military’s role is unique in that soldiers and sailors are trained to obey the commander-in-chief but are told not to follow illegal orders,” NBC correspondents wrote.

Sen. Blumenthal suggested that the United States could only survive a Trump presidency if “the military itself resisted what they deemed to be an unlawful order.”

Washington operatives are also reportedly aiming their sights at any military leaders who would obey Trump’s presidential orders, such as Gen. Michael Flynn (ret.), who served as Trump’s national security adviser. Flynn, who rumors say would be on the shortlist for defense secretary, is “at the top of the list to be taken care of,” the NBC report states.

The possibility of an attempted military coup against Trump is high given that it occurred before, during the president’s last term.

According to the book Peril by journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, in January 2021 Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley secretly seized Trump’s control of the US military and nuclear arsenal. On January 8th, Milley convened a secret meeting at the Pentagon and instructed senior military officials in charge of the National Military Command Center to refuse Trump’s orders unless he, Milley, approved.

  • They should be telling the military to resist ANY illegal order from any commander or commander in chief . That would show that this isn’t a political move but rather a constitutional move
