“I’m absolutely devastated,” Kuldeep Bhardwaj, the fitness star’s friend, wrote in a social media post. “Rest in Peace my friend you was a true inspiration right from the day I met you at school, through your amazing bodybuilding years and after. Your smile and laughter will be missed.”

Davis had a strong commitment to promoting organ donation following his receipt of a kidney transplant in 2009.

Last year there were five bodybuilders under the age of 60 who passed away unexpectedly.

In October, Raechelle Chase, a well-known fitness influencer from New Zealand and a mother of five, passed away unexpectedly.

The cause of death for Chase, who frequently shared posts about fitness and relationships with her 1.4 million Facebook followers, was not disclosed. She had been showcased on 14 magazine covers and held the distinction of being the inaugural New Zealand female participant in the yearly Olympia bodybuilding competition.

In September, the untimely passing of the highly acclaimed bodybuilder Neil Currey at the age of 34 was described by his trainer Milo Sarcev as “absolutely shocking.” Currey, a professional bodybuilder, achieved the remarkable feat of winning the gold medal at the prestigious 2022 New York Pro competition. Subsequently, he participated in the renowned Mr. Olympia competition, a global event that served as a springboard for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s successful career. He achieved a 16th place ranking in the Classic Physique category.

In July, Gustavo “The Freakin’ Rican” Badell, a seasoned bodybuilder, passed away at the age of 50 due to an unexpected stroke. Similar to Davis, Badell had previously encountered kidney problems that were not considered life-threatening.

In the previous month, the well-known bodybuilding influencer Jo Lindner passed away unexpectedly at the age of 30 due to an aneurysm.

Lindner, also known as Joesthetics, recently disclosed that he had been coerced into receiving four COVID-19 vaccine doses, despite his reluctance.

“You know how it is. It’s the same thing — you go to a party and you are with the wrong people, all of a sudden you might do something in this party you don’t want to do,” Lindner shared on Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk podcast. “I was in this place . . . and my friends said, ‘we can get it, you should get it, man.’”

“You got peer pressured into the vax?” asked Martyn.

“Yeah, kind of,” responded Lindner.

The fitness celebrity disclosed that after receiving the injections, his doctor discovered foreign particles in his blood, leading to a recommendation for a blood cleansing procedure known as plasmapheresis. Lindner had undergone the operation on two separate occasions.

“The doctor was like, ‘You need to do it, man, if you want to survive after you took these shots. You need to do this now,’” added Lindner.

In 2022 the renowned bodybuilding and fitness figure Doug Brignole tragically passed away following his public challenge to individuals who were hesitant to receive the COVID-19 vaccinations.

“I have enough confidence in the vaccine, based on my research, to get it done,” Brignole stated on Facebook in April 2021. “Those of you who think the vaccine kills people can use me as a test. If I die, you were right. If I don’t die, and have no ill effects, you were wrong, and should admit it (at least to yourselves). Better yet, you should admit that you were misled, and tell the world who misled you, so other people can benefit by avoiding those fearmongers.”

Brignole passed away 18 months later, at the age of 63. He was in excellent physical condition and making preparations to make a guest appearance at the AAU Mr. Universe competition in Las Vegas on October 22nd. The cause of death cited in the coroner report for Brignole was COVID-19, accompanied with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, which refers to the hardening of arteries.

Brignole had received two doses of the Moderna vaccine.
